Frequently Asked Questions

What is Zion?

Zion is LSUMC's ministry for students in 7th - 12th grades. Check out the History of LSUMC.

What happens at Zion?

Designed to be a safe place for you to come and enjoy the very best worship services and time to hang out with your friends  and meet some new ones! Zion features an awesome space for you to worship God in the game room, gym and a study room with computers!

Will I fit in?

No matter where you live, no matter what you wear, no matter what school you go to, no matter what sports you play, no matter what deodorant you use, no matter what crowd you follow, no matter ... you will be loved and accepted here - by new friends your age and by adults who care about you.

Do I have to be a member of LSUMC or go to this church?

No. Everyone is welcome at our church! If you belong to another youth group, we welcome you to be an honorary member of Zion, but your other youth group should be your home. If you don't have a youth group to attend, consider us when you seek one!

Can parents come?

Parents are encouraged to be involved on any level in their teen's life at church. Parents are also welcome in the Zion Office - to talk about parenting issues, get referrals to counselors and resources for your family, or just to give your two cents!
