We will strive to teach your teen what being a follower of the Lord is all about! In Zion, we are all about having fun, making friends, and helping students to make the right choices - in the context of following Christ and teaching His Way. Here are some other things you will recognize in our youth ministry:
Purpose-Driven Youth Ministry
Everything we do revolves around the five purposes of outreach, worship, discipleship, fellowship and service. We strive to give students experiences that bring these five purposes to life.
Quality, not quantity
We are throwing our energy into making quality, relevant programs that reach your teenager where they most need to be loved and taught. Zion Student Ministries promises that everything we offer will be well done.
Raising the Bar
God's standards are high! He expects us to pray, read our Bibles, fellowship with other Christians, attend worship services with the Church, tithe, invite others to church with us, and serve the world with the love of Jesus. When you expect a lot from students, they rise to the calling.
Policy of the Open Door
You are encouraged as parents to be involved on any level in your teen's life at church. Parents are also welcome in the Zion Office to talk about parenting issues, get referrals to counselors and resources for your family, or just to give your two cents!
Ultimately, this is the goal: By the time your student graduates from high school, we want them to have a knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior, worship God with their lives, and be living out their faith in their presence at church, their prayer life, through regular study of the Bible, and showing their commitment to Christ as a light through their service and outreach to the world.
